Latham and Shelby Gaines are composers creating original scores for feature films and theater.
Their work centers on character-driven music built from handmade instruments and amplified sound sculptures, designed specifically for each project.
Recent film work includes the original score for The Weight, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2026, as well as Wildcat directed by Ethan Hawke and The Kid directed by Vincent D’Onofrio.
Their score and performances for Ethan Hawke’s Off-Broadway revival of Sam Shepard’s A Lie of the Mind earned a Drama Desk Award nomination for Best Music in a Play.
